The company has just launched two models in India, both likely to appeal to cellphone owners who need to do a lot of phoning while walking or, for driving. BT2050 is a feather weight at eight grams and allows about four hours of talk time before needing recharge, Almost all key controls-on/off answer or end a call, redial, increase or decrease volume, can be achieved with a single or double tap on the headset.

It costs Rs.2490. Slightly pricier at Rs 3390, BT4010 promises six hours of talk time and features a sharp LCD display, which tells you about the battery level, and call and connections status with a single glance sideways. Google's Gdrive

Search engine giant Google will soon launch a service that would enable users to access their personal computer from any Internet connection making the desktop computer virtually redundant. The GDrive system will merge Google’s all existing web-based services to make them easier to use together. It could kill off the desktop computer, which relies on a powerful hard drive. Instead a user’s personal files and operating system could be stored on Google’s own servers and accessed via the internet.

The GDrive would make it possible to access and update information like emails, photographs, music, documents and spreadsheets from any device with an Internet connection. The novel system is being described as cloud computing, wherein the web rather than the hard drive is used as the place where information is stored. Google experts are said to have begun convincing the world of its benefits. It is believed that the GDrive could cause a major paradigm shift in how we use computers and bring Google one step closer to dethroning Windows on your desktop.

Obesity

Obesity surgery can reverse diabetes in teens, just as it does in adults, according to a small study. All but one of the 11 extremely obese teens studied saw their diabetes disappear within a year after weight-loss surgery, the researchers reported. The 11Th patient still had diabetes, but needed much less insulin and stopped taking diabetes pills. Previous studies have shown the diabetes benefits of obesity surgery for adults.

Thomas Inge, a surgeon at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, and his colleagues wanted to find out if the same was true for adolescents. Although more research is needed, Inge said the study "opens the door" to weight-loss surgery as a treatment option for severely obese teens with type-2 diabetes. About a third of US youngsters are either overweight or obese. Increasing numbers of obese children are being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, the most common form of all and the one linked to obesity. It was seldom seen before in kids.

Financial Crisis

Indian Economy may go into deflation by the second quarter of financial year 2009-10 as there are fears of inflation going below zero percent in the face of unprecedented fall in crude and commodity prices. If the current pace in inflation-decline continues, the figure may slide below two percent by end-fiscal.Many people may go jobless if the current trend continues. The experts say it may fall further to below zero percent by Q2 FY10.

Inflation almost halved to a nine-month low of 6.61 percent from this year’s peak of 12.91 percent, giving more space to the RBI to signal further cuts in interest rates. Deflation occurs in an economy when the negative inflation prevails for a long period. In the event of deflation, the Reserve Bank will have to enhance money supply and lower rates further to support inflation.
